6. Credit crunch weddings.

With the average UK wedding costing a staggering £20,000+, it’s no wonder that so many couples start married life together in debt.

June is a favourite month for weddings so if you’re getting married but you want to save money and still have the wedding of your dreams you must start planning early.

If you’re going away book airport parking before you get to the airport to save loads.

Although making a few quid here and there can be easy if you’re under 18, making money can be difficult without the advantages of work experience or other factors such as a driving licence.

August – Soak up the pennys and pounds 

21. Switch your gas and electricity.

The utilities companies tend to put prices up at the beginning of the Autumn so fix yours now to avoid the rise.

It is true, seriously, that you could save yourself around £200 (depending on what your bills are like now) by switching to a different gas and electricity company…or just switching to a different plan with your current provider.

Find the ‘Kilowatthours’ you have used in the last year (it will be on your bills) and put that figure into one or two comparison sites to see which company will offer you a better price.

OK, so just joining Twitter won’t make you a millionaire – but it is a fantastic, quick paced forum for picking up little extra jobs to make money on the side.
