Popular Italian American restaurant Frankie & Benny’s is giving away 2,000 FREE lasagne dishes to celebrate the animated movie launch of The Garfield Movie, the lazy, wise cracking lasagne-loving iconic cat.
Frankie & Benny’s has proudly teamed up with Columbia Pictures/Alcon Entertainment to salute the upcoming Garfield film.
And to celebrate the movie which opens on May 24 Frankie & Benny’s will be giving away 2,000 of Garfield’s favourite dish!
The first 2,000 guests to pre-book with Frankie & Benny’s via their website between May 24-31and dine in from June 1-30 will receive a single use voucher code to redeem a delicious serving of Classic Beef Lasagne which usually costs £13.45.
Alexandra Gaunt, Frankie & Benny’s Head of Marketing, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Sony, to bring the world’s most-beloved orange cat, Garfield, from the big screen into our restaurants. What better way to celebrate the film release, on May 24th, than to give our guests 2,000 free Lasagne.”
The voucher is available to redeem Monday-Sunday. This offer may not be valid in event restaurants on event days and will be processed at the manager’s discretion. Frankie & Benny’s has become the official UK restaurant partner for the movie and has unveiled a series of new Garfield-inspired treats, celebrity launches and special events for diners.
The three month collaboration includes a limited time special kids lasagne menu, Garfield inspired activity sheets, Garfield themed decorations, goodie bags, posters, limited edition T-shirts and a chance to win a once in a lifetime trip to New York City!
Since the creation of the Garfield comic strip by Jim Davis in 1978, the world-famous, fat, cynical, orange tabby, has showed off his love of lasagne and hatred of Mondays, which resulted in attracting generations of fans.
Garfield became the world’s most syndicated cartoon, loved by millions for his lazy outlook on life with laid back observations including “Oh no! I overslept! I’m late! For my nap.”, “You know it’s Monday when you wake up, and it’s Tuesday.” and “All I do is eat and sleep. Eat and sleep. Eat and sleep. There must be more to a cat’s life than that. But I hope not.”
And now, as the world awaits the May 24th release of The Garfield Movie, Frankie & Benny’s is set to entertain families as well as all lovers of all the Garfield characters including Odie (Garfield’s dog!), Jon (Garfield’s ‘owner’), and new faces like Vic (Garfield’s long-lost father).
The popular Italian restaurant’s Executive Head Chef, Ben Keegans, has created a delicious new lasagne dish for their little diners and he guarantees its Garfield approved. The new exclusive menu item comes with a drink, side, and a dessert all for £8.30.
